Who we are

Foyer is a workplace sign-in and visitor management application developed by Walsh Tech. This privacy policy explains how the Foyer app ("the App") and its companion web dashboard ("the Dashboard") collect, use, and store personal data. What data we collect

• Employee data: Names, job titles, and department information entered by your organisation administrator. This data is used to populate the sign-in kiosk and track attendance.
• Attendance records: The date and time of each sign-in and sign-out event, linked to an employee record. This data is used to maintain an accurate occupancy count and fire register.
• Visitor data: Full name, company name, vehicle registration number (optional), purpose of visit, nominated host, and a digital signature. This data is collected at the kiosk during the visitor sign-in flow.
• Device identifiers: A unique identifier is assigned to each kiosk device when it is paired with an organisation. This is used to associate the kiosk with the correct organisation account and does not identify any individual.

How we use your data

• Attendance tracking: To show who is currently signed in to the office.
• Fire register and safety compliance: To provide an instant list of all people on site in the event of an emergency evacuation.
• Visitor management: To log visitor arrivals, notify hosts, and maintain a record of visits for security and compliance purposes.

Who can access your data

Personal data collected by Foyer is accessible only to authorised administrators of your organisation, via the secure web dashboard. Administrators must authenticate with a verified email address and password. Data is stored securely by Supabase, our database provider, using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted on AWS. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Attendance records and visitor logs are retained for as long as your organisation account remains active. Organisation administrators can delete individual records at any time via the web dashboard. If you wish to have your personal data removed, please contact your organisation administrator or email us directly at privacy@walshtech.co.uk.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your data • Object to or restrict how we process your data To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@walshtech.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies and tracking

The Foyer kiosk app does not use cookies or any form of cross-app tracking. The web dashboard uses session cookies solely for the purpose of authenticating administrators. No analytics or advertising cookies are used.

Children

Foyer is intended for use in professional workplace environments. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the App or Dashboard after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
